Other networks
Eurocities Created in 1986 and with a membership of almost 100 European big cities, Eurocities aims to improve the living conditions in European cities and urban areas.
METREX (The Network of European Metropolitan Regions and Areas) METREX is a network of practitioners, that is, politicians, officials and their advisers, concerned with the spatial planning and development at the metropolitan level. There are 40 members belonging to this network.
Latin Arc By 1999 a group of intermediate local administrations located in the Mediterranean arc started this network for transnational cooperation.
Conference of Atlantic Arc Cities The Conference of Atlantic Arc Cities gathers cities located on the Atlantic coast, from Andalusia to Scotland, aiming at strenghten the cooperation between them and at increasing their political weight at a European level.
The Baltic Palette Cooperation network covering the central region of the Baltin with the participation of cities and regions from Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Russia.
CEEC-LOGON (Local Governments Network of Central and Eastern European Countries) Network of local governments of both Central and Eastern Europe, formed mainly by their national associations of municipalities.

SIGMA (European Network of Intermediate Authorities for Culture and Proximity) Network of 22 intermediate local authorities coming from 7 different European countries. Born under the under the umbrella of Partenalia, Sigma seeks to promote transnational cooperation in the field of cultural services of proximity.
Les Rencontres: Association of European Cities and Regions for Culture Association for cooperation, reflection and action, founded in 1992 by cultural services representatives of territorial authorities in Europe.

ICLEI (Local Governments for Sustainability) International association of local governments engaged with and involved in sustainable development policies.
European Campaign of Sustainable Cities The European Campaign of Sustainable Cities supports the transfer of knowledge and the exchange of experiences in the field of urban sustainability and the Local Agenda 21.
ManagEnergy As an initiative of the DG for Energy and Transport of the European Commission, ManagEnergy enhances cooperation between local and regional stakeholders working in the energy sector so as to promote efficiency, renewable energies and sustainable transport.
Energie-Cités With more than a hundred members representing 21 European countries, Energie-Cités promotes sustainable energy policies at the local level.

ELANET (The European Local Authorities Telematic Network) Under the umbrella of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions, ELANET is its reference when it comes to the implementation and development of information society at a local and regional level.
TeleCities Founded in 1993 in the framework of Eurocities, Telecities has become an specialised network on information society and learning.
